Secretary Francisco T. Duque III today visits Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital and Sanitarium (DJNRMHS) in Tala, Caloocan City and inspects the implementation of the Minimum Public Health Standards (MPHS) as embodied in the BIDA Solusyon sa COVID-19 Campaign of the Department of Health.
BIDA is the acronym for the DOH communication and behavioral campaign, such that B is for Bawal walang mask; I refers to I-sanitize ang mga kamay, Iwas hawak sa mga bagay; D means Dumistansya ng isang metro; and A stands for Alamin ang totoong impormasyon.
Holding his “Bastonero” meter stick, Sec. Duque went around the hospital premises to make sure that health services are delivered accordingly while health and safety protocols for COVID-19 prevention are implemented. Specifically, the meter stick is his gauge if the minimum physical distance between individuals is being done.
The visit also gave Sec. Duque the opportunity to personally hand in a token of appreciation to a female patient who survived her fight against COVID-19.
The Health Secretary and his team were warmly received by the medical officers and administrative staff of DJNRNHS. Dr. Corazon I. Flores, Officer-In-Charge/Director IV of the DOH-Metro Manila Center for Health Development together with her staff joined Sec. Duque in the hospital visit.
