MANILA— Five (5) units of incubator machines were turned over by the Department of Health National Capital Regional Office (DOH-NCRO) to the Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center (OMMC) in a short ceremonial event held on September 1.
Despite the holiday, the event was attended by DOH-NCRO Regional Director Dr. Ariel I. Valencia, OMMC Director Dr. Rachel Marinas, hospital consultant Dr. Regina Bagsic and Representative of the 5th District of Manila Hon. Cristal L. Bagatsing.
"Ang programang ito ay bahagi ng pagpapatunay na ang ating pamahalaan po ay patuloy na nagbibigay ng tulong sa mga nakikitang pangangailangan," said Dr. Valencia in his short message. He further states that other additional equipment will soon be transferred to the hospital. Likewise, Congresswoman Bagatsing and Dr. Marinas expressed their gratitude towards Dr. Valencia for NCRO’s continuous support and aid in improving the hospital’s facilities through the Health Facility Enhancement Program (HFEP).
Dr. Marinas toured Dr. Valencia through OMMC and presented the renovated and newly-improved parts of the hospital.
Acknowledging the presence of some of the barangay chairmen of Manila, Dr. Valencia encouraged them to continually improve their commitment on making their constituents well-informed with regards to the free services available within health centers.
Furthermore, he reminded everyone that this program, as part of the Philippine Health Agenda through the leadership of Health Secretary Paulyn Jean Rosell-Ubial, aims to provide citizens with the guarantee of having accessible health care whether it is for prevention or treatment of illnesses and other conditions.
