On behalf of the Department of Health – Metro Manila Center for Health Development (DOH-MMCHD), Dr. Gloria J. Balboa, Regional Director, today handed-over the check amounting to one million pesos for financial compensation to the family of a frontline health worker, “a fallen hero,” in one of the hospitals in Muntinlupa City who recently succumbed from COVID-19.
The dedicated medical front liner acquired COVID-19 while rendering healthcare and laboratory procedures in the hospital. “Higit pa sa milyon ang buhay na ibinigay niya para sa kanyang serbisyo,” Dr. Balboa said in appreciation for the altruism and dedication to healthcare.
The family whole-heartedly and emotionally received the check at the Office of the Regional Director on behalf of the health worker. “We are moving forward each day for our bunso,” a family member related. They were grateful for the kind gestures provided by the government, thru DOH-MMCHD, for health workers who lose their lives in the service of the people.
