The local government of Malabon City today launched its COVID-19 vaccination program intended to be given to the prioritized healthcare providers in a simple ceremonial rite held at the locally-operated, Ospital ng Malabon.
This momentous activity was attended by distinguished officials from the national and local governments. Hon. Antolin A. Oreta III, City Mayor; Hon. Josephine Veronique R. Lacson-Noel, Representative of the Lone District of Malabon; Dr. Robert R. Romero, City Health Officer, and Dr. Corazon I. Flores, Officer-In-Charge/Director IV of the Department of Health – Metro Manila Center for Health Development graced the event.
In their speech, Mayor Oreta and Congresswoman Lacson-Noel expressed their full support to the National COVID-19 Deployment and Vaccination Program.
During the activity, Dr. Mitzi A. Tanchoco, Hospital Chief of Ospital ng Malabon was the first medical frontliner in Malabon City to receive the Coronavac, the vaccine for COVID-19 manufactured by Sinovac-Biotech donated and delivered by the government of the People’s Republic of China to the Philippines.
Several healthcare workers were scheduled for vaccination at the Ospital ng Malabon immediately after the ceremonial activity
